The World needs more Rotarians.

As a vibrant, enthusiastic Rotary Club we are always looking for people of all ages and from all walks of life to join our club to contribute their energy, talents and professional skills to make a real difference to the lives of others.
The enormous sense of achievement you will experience in helping your local community and others around the world will be matched only by the fun you will have doing it!
Being part of Rotary is more than just giving back to the community. It is also about you bringing your skills, experience and enthusiasm to help it thrive, whilst making some great friends along the way. Alresford Rotary has a target of 1,000 volunteer hours for the year, that’s a commitment of about 3 hours per member each month.

Impact starts with our members – people like you who see a world where people unite and take action to create lasting change – all over the world, in our communities and in ourselves.
At club meetings in communities around the world, our members come together to strengthen their ties with friends and neighbours and their commitment to improving lives.
Who can participate?
We’re looking for people who want to give back to their community.

How can I become a member?
Rotary is composed of people who are active in life, in society or within their profession. The club is autonomous in the policy regarding the hiring of new members, provided that they do not violate Rotary international rules.
Women are active participants in Rotary, serving their communities in increasing numbers and serving in leadership positions in Rotary.
By June 1990, the number of female Rotarians had skyrocketed to over 20,000. The number of women members worldwide reached 195,000 in July 2010 (about 16% of Rotarians) and surpassed 277,000 in July 2020 (about 23% ).
A top priority for Rotary is growing and diversifying our membership to make sure we reflect the communities we serve. We know that our capacity to increase our impact and expand our reach is larger when more people unite with us, which is why we value diversity, equity and inclusion. Rotary celebrates and welcomes the contributions of people of all backgrounds, regardless of their age, ethnicity, race, colour, abilities, religion, socioeconomic status, culture, sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity.
